MyWay doesn't have the USB/AUX input in the glovebox, unless someone did a modification like I did 2 years ago with the USB BOX (or similar device).[/quote]
It has a pair of phono sockets, standard fit and in the handbook. Phono lead and a phono to 3.5mm adapter, not ideal but works fine.

Yes, same with Siri on the Apple iPhone - If I shout at her to send a message to somebody she'll take it and send it - she'll just output her voice via the speakers and I can then use the car's MIC to answer her once she's got her notepad ready!vborovic wrote:That's up to the phone's voice out capability, the same way that you could use any nav software on it and have it read out the direction through the car's speakers (rather than the phone's speaker).Richard_C wrote:Nigel Farage is coming to take your car away

The only messages displayed on the Navidrive Screen and read out by Helga are when they are received on the internal phone and that is connected instead of the bluetooth phone.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

The good looking black tourer sold yesterday, but he has a similar silver one with 80 odd thousand on the clock in stock as well, so he's going to send me some photos tonight before it goes on eBay.
He did seem to be the sort to lay on the salesman patter nice and thick, when we spoke on the phone. Having worked with plenty (but from the workshop side) in the past I don't enjoy dealing with 'salesmen' generally, so we'll see! Couple of 2.2s around Manchester both black but both have quite entertaining MOT histories full of tyres worn to the cords (and re-tested 250 miles later!) knackered bushes, oil leaks etc. Not inspiring me with much confidence about their previous owners' maintenance regimes. Much better to buy off an enthusiast for a fair price I think...

Does it have to be a C5 X7 ? What about a Renault Laguna 3 initiale with the 2.0 175bhp diesel , very nice car and a good level of equipment . Previously had a dynamique S myself for two years and it never put a foot wrong , I'd have another one tomorrow without a doubt . Infact I've been very tempted by a laguna coupe on more than one occasion.

Re: Looking at mk3 C5s, experiences from owners needed
My friend had a Luguna. 1.9 turbodiesel Probably Mk 2 as it was a 2002 model. Gearbox developed a nasty noise soon after he got it and he had to spend a lot f money getting it fixed. Apparently they are a known weak item. Don't know if this was cured on later cars.
Just mentioning...

I'm dead set on hydropneumatic at this moment, as I've never tried it!

What's hydropneumatic? Do you mean hydractive?

Hydractive is a variant of the hydropneumatic suspension ...

Yep, hydropneumatic, I'd love to have a shed full of DS, SM, CX, GS, XM, Xantia, C5, C6 etc., but for now what I need is an economical estate that's pretty modern, so a C5 X7 Exclusive fits the bill!

You forgot to add to the shed the C4 Picasso and Jumpy (Dispatch I believe in the UK), they have the rear-axles with a pneumatic system ...

When you have filled your shed with Hydropneumatic, you might find the odd space for a "Hydragas". How about a Vanden Plas 1300 or a nice beige Austin Maxi. Its like Citroen without self levelling - put a bag of cement in a boot and the headlights are useful for UFO spotting.

Re: Looking at mk3 C5s, experiences from owners needed
I remember removing something from an 11 or 1300 in a wreckers once.. no idea what I wanted it for ..but it was a rear arm.. there was one person in the yard walking about 10m away passing by..
Exactly at that point I cut the pipe and a massive green fountain spread across the Isle and covered him .. just him. A perfect shot! I felt so guilty bit still makes me smile ! It really isn't funny but a complete accident. !
Didn't quite know what to say except that I was very sorry !
