hmmm I seem to remember being able to capture the screen as a video, would that help with logging the parameters? would be interesting to see how some of the H3+ 's behave under certain conditions...

Vab is definitely steely :) I think the fan is too..

just drove home, its almost like I am constantly correcting for something.. and almost like the car is underdamped - often.. and almost like the rear squats down and front lifts, diagonally.. and so on..

for sure, the car is never actually level anywhere.. but looking at the C6 on you tube it seems to be reasonably controlled..

maybe the car is always in 'poor road' setting on my roads, and is always a bit taller..

No - better keep a spare set of 17" rims just in case!

I'm just waiting to get the Diagbox 8.17 update installed (soon hopefully) so I know all the telcoding and functions are fully restored and functional and then I'll try and get a mate to come out for a spin round the mountain!

nice work.. I was impressed with the VIRB garmin camera a mate has, can attach it anywhere including the exterior body, HD video of a few hours.. would gain some footage of the general ride of the car and so on..may try to borrow it next week..

Sounds like a plan - where to attach it though for best ride results. A video would be really useful methinks.

And Vab - I am definitely NOT going to press play on THAT video!

Look, the Gas strut on my chair is giving out ok, so by the time I finish typing this I will be the size of a dwarf, so I don't really want to be sick too after watching that go round!
Time to get the replacement strut, the hammer and a bit of Stevie Nicks on I think! :-D

I can lend you a set of 17" Persique wheels with very decent Michelin Primacy 3 on them for a short(ish) term test if you want to try different wheels/tyres on it. I've currently got my winter set on - hence the availability of the wheels ! Not too far from Midhurst to you :) You'd need to reconfigure yours with Diagbox to tell it about the new wheels though :)

Mine definitely isn't as smooth as this - probably as this C6 is likely to have the AMVAR fitted.

.......unless you get stuck in a queue of traffic behind a horse box / tractor / steam roller / etc :-D

I can meet you halfway one weekend to hand them over then meet you the following weekend to take them back if you want. I'm around some of this weekend if it's any use.

If you like Stevie then this may appeal:

don’t do that, he will not return you the wheels :D Curently I use same rims and bought Michelin primacy 3 (just went with a bit narrower and higher profile - 215/60 r17 96V for less noise) I just cant hear tyres at all. tried 18inces with pilot sport tyres and would never ever go to bigger rims or wider tyre. C5 IMHO is made for silence , comfort and refinement. I have denied this and went on some nice drive (over 6000rpm ,few drags) and my car” thanked”me with blown/cracked exaust manifold :-) so I drive nicely since then.

yes my car have steeel suspension . I’m having enough problems with “clasics”childish c5 problems (fan, water in doors, broken lift mechanism, steering rack leak) and do not want to ad another one :-) steels suspension of c5 is very nice BTW.
