Re: Peugeot 306 keys
You are absolutely right
I heard that if I disconnect my battery and connect the two cables together my ECU will restart..is it true?

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
That really only works for newer cars with a BSI and then only if you have trouble with it.

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
Thanks.. Is it possible to connect a two button remote control for newer models with my phase 1 car?

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
I did mention this earlier in the topic
Yes and no. It would be possible but I don't know how difficult it would be to do. The 'easy' way would be to replace the roof receiver, the 'control box' (under front seat or under back seat area varies on model) and the key transmitter.
The difficult way would mean some of the loom would need changing as well as possibly the door actuators too (unlikely) as 'two button' models, 90% of them have deadlocks.

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
That's called the IC1 connector. 306's have them too but they are around the battery area, same big round connector (might have two) , I think I mentioned this before not sure.mixalis kal wrote:Thanks for the information!! Your IC1 (called something else) is near the battery / inner wing area.

Do you think that is a good idea to check if is everything ok with the connection?

Be careful if you unscrew it as the plastic can crack a bit if its old. There is a sort of 'ring' in the middle of it you turn to 'undo' the connector itself.
Ensure that ignition is *off* (keys out!) before undoing it.

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
I think that I found it. I didn't unscrew it . I tryied to turn it a bit and I pushed in the cables. After that my keypad works fine. I will try it tomorrow again to be sure. If I could I would send you pictures of the cables I pushed!

Re: Peugeot 306 keys
Its probably corrosion inside it then or it was a bit of dirt. If you do take it apart to clean it, please do *not* use WD40 on it. Use contact cleaner or a gentle solvent (check plastics are OK!) as WD can over time (so I'm told) change slightly so it may not work as well as it appears.mixalis kal wrote:I think that I found it. Regarding images, I cannot use Photobucket anymore as my ISP is a bit poor. You can just quickly upload to imgur.com and then link here via the IMG tag.

I turned this which is down and right as you see the picture and you can see some cables . Is it the right fuse or I did a mistake?

Hello,
I am going to buy an anti theft system and I am between Autolok 2000 and disclock. What is the best for you?
Thank you !
