That's good :-D Hydractive is working then.

Clicking and lots of it suggest the accumulator and Activa accumulator (under the battery tray) is likely quite tired...

The Activa is hydraulically very hungry and must have a good pair of accumulators...

EDIT: You pipped me to the post there Chris

Would that explain the pulsing like symptoms when slowing down? The brakes seem to come and go in waves.

yes its running almost directly off the pump, not too good and can burst the main feed pipe if it runs like this a lot, i would get one ordered from gsf or somewhere asap and then sort the others out at your leasure, the others make for a hard rubbish ride but the flat acc sphere can actualy cause damage.
Sounds like only minor bits want doing anyway so i nice buy.

You have all been very helpful this evening, thanks.

I'm fully prepared to spend twice or 3 times the buying cost to get this car up to scratch, but crucially I will know what has been done, which makes me happy.

I'm just getting my list together for my parts, then I'm gonna hit the suspension head on. My list currently reads:

Droplink
All spheres
Activa ram bush....Jim?
Engine mount

What else would you suggest?

Take a good look at the height correctors and lubricate them. You have not mentioned it doing the Activa shuffle so the roll corrector might well be ok. Check both rams for leaks and strut tops for condition. Spheres will make a huge difference.

I have been on eBay.fr the last few days as I am going to purchase the whole set of spheres for this car. The issue I'm having as they only list either the V6 or the hdi. Both sets have different front spheres as I see it. Does anyone know the correct set for the UK cars?

I know AEP do them, but there are some missing, and being an idiot I am not sure exactly which ones I need.
