Dealer found the 4.5mm A/S seal today. $10 and might not arrive before the weekend. sounds a lot to me fora $.5mm of rubber.
Do you think i should i just give it a go with the old seal.

The hard part will be getting it all undone the first time, so why not? It'll probably be OK, but only tighten it down to where it was (end of the clean threads).
If the old seal leaks, replacing it with the new one when that arrives isn't a long job.
One tip, if you've still got an old seating seal from one of the other spheres, use it to fit the new A/S sphere on its bracket - it'll be so much easier to get off next time.
