I take my post back, xms are stupid unrealible junk
I have a heavy lame duck outside that cost £5 of LHM for a 15 minute journey.
And of course my ramps are 2 hours away!
Must buy a proper car.....

Dave, it's just that you've not been paying her enough attention and she's thrown her toys! They all do that. Remember, all hydraulic Citroens are female!!!

What's gone wrong now with her then?

You seem to have a similar relationship with your XM as i do with my C5, when all is going well i find its the perfect car, however if it goes wrong i start disliking it. But still, what else would you drive, very few cars are as nice as a well working XM. 8-)

Dave, have you made a list of all the bits that want doing?
If I get a little bit overwhelmed with jobs at work thats what I tend to do along with a few jobs I've already done to make it look like I've made some progress (its psychological  ) a lot of the time it don't look half as bad. I can then violently scribble out the ones that have been done

Thats a good idea kev and i used to make a list.
However if i were to do that now i think i would become rather depressed!

It made it to work this morning but the ride is a bit poor as are the brakes and steering!
Im waiting for some ramps off of ebay then i can get under and see the problem.!

Great minds think alike!
I've always done that; a notebook for each car.

One end has things to do that get crossed off when done, other end has entries of what I've done with date and mileage. Including services.

I have another notebook for other things to do that are not car-related.

Sad, eh?

Wouldn’t say so, :) I’m doing about the same.
