I think painting a CX Green is a risky task but I do have a liking for Green Cits.

Though I can change my mind if I want :? Florentine Red 8-)
Sounds like a good plan!

On my Maikonics CX I've changed the handles to stainless steel and the door "capping" trims were already stainless too. I left the window surrounds black as I've got a rear louvre and I think that'd look out of place.

IMO I don't think that the green will suit the S2 at all.
Florentine red is a nice colour when right. 8-)
no side bump trim
Good! :D Without the mouldings it makes the CX looks much 'cleaner' in it's lines...CGOO looks so much better without them.
OK, not to the purists taste but who cares! :D  How many times have I heard...shame about no mouldings!

Yep, on s2's Florentine red is hard to beat. I'll try and dig out some pictures
of the turbos and then I can "green one up" in Photoshop! The one on my
avatar <<<<<< is Delage red - the flat non metallic.

This is one of the pages of the Motorsport magazine article:

Thanks for that Andrew...I particularly like the plate with the 123! :)

I look forward to the green CX and the other Turbo pictures! 8-)

That really nice Lighter Green from the early CX pic is:
VERT PAPYRUS MET AC536

Look better with colour coded bumpers I think: ? and it is Mettalic. What do I do now :?: Vert Mallard, Rouge Florentine or above :?

wish I hadn't started this post.

I've just realised how many pictures I've now got in my photobucket account and how much hassle it is going through them all...

If you cannot decide which colour why not have them ALL and have the
not so bonkers paintjob Neil CGAT Hotham had on his car ORIGINALLY
- base colour was the factory blue but with subtle mica flecs of red, green
and blue which picked out beautifully on the bodywork highlights!

I must be in the minority of people who loved Neil's car before it's latest
incarnation...

Florentine red gets my vote for the S2, although that light blue is nice.

I really don't like CXs in white. I like white Xms, they look good white.

The Black safari looks mean.

:D

The castle?
Don't be fooled by the blue s2 on the continental side of the road with the
castle on the horizon! It's just a bit of cheeky parking before the road hits
Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.

I've had a go at 'greening' one of the pics of my Cx but in truth the quality
isn't in the image and I based it the flat not metallic maroon finish but
anyhow;

Image

I have a particular soft spot for my black estate; the previous owner didn't
mind everyone calling it a hearse but stuck a LARGE smiley :D on the back
(not seen in the pictures) to lighten some folk's mood! :P

Much as I'd love to, my cars aren't all lined up outside ready for me to take a
picture so I need to rummage around to find one's I have handy or already
on the Mac so apologies to those that have seen all these pics before. The
cars are ensconced in dry storage and are actually difficult to get decent
pictures of - don't believe for one minute it's like the Haynes museum
(I wish).

Thanks for the pictures andrew...always interesting to see some GTi Turbos!

I know that feeling! I now wish that I put some of them into albums instead on having 20 page to go through (780 pics) And that's without the 65 albums!

I never saw that colour on CGAT...I've only seen the white and the Chromalusion.
But, whatever colour it is...the performance is something else.
I've luckily been a passenger in it! :yikes:

My Vote for the series 2 has to be black! :) Yes, a total utter nightmare to keep clean but it's just 8-) , especially if you can get a leather interior and the correct Turbo doorcards too! :D

I agree Robert, that white CXs aren't the best, but Andrews E222 TTX does look a very smart car with the Alfa alloys and I also think I can see a rear window louvre too!

Honest comment? It looked better than I anticipated...and the bumpers don't look too bad either. :)

I know your problem Andrew...it's the same for us. Dad's got CGOO and some others at a dry storage barns. We've only actually got two CXs at home; the rally car and CX 2000 Super!

Anything like Nigel Wild's church of Citroen Andrew?

See this month's Practical Classics for an incredible picture on pages 8 and 9 and an explanation!

There's (I believe) even a GS Birotor in there...

With that green one being so dark, you might as well just get it painted black for full effect.
