SELF LOCKING XANTIA

Thanks Wheeler, didn't know that one! Never seen that mentioned in the
handbook either!! Didn't think my Xantia would want to know, but fair do's
it works!!

I used to have a CX that could do the opposite and unlock itself (central locking) without warning. We disconnected it before it got itself pinched, but one day when doing another job on it, we had cause to remove the central locking activating PCB behind the ashtray area and sure enough, there was a great burn mark fair in the guts of it where water had dripped and shorted the circuit board, so I would suspect this could be a feasible explanation.

Just a thought, but, check the fuse position in the service manual. That's one sure way of cutting the power to it.

Would be nice if Tim could get in first, I guess...!

I'm still standing by trying to pull up the button on the top of the
door trim with a coathangar!! Worked for me in s similar situation...

Unfortunatly the deadlocks have been activated so they coathanger trick wont work, have tried.

I keep thinking of that Beatles song "Bang, Bang Maxwells silver hammer" coz I think that's about the only solution.
If you take much longer, the battery will be flat and that'll be another problem.
