I agree, although the Peugeot 2.1 is a lovely engine. (Unless you have to work on it in situ.) The only substantially better aspect of a Peugoet unit (apart from up-to-date emissions) is the fitment of Bosch pumps. Ignoring the aspect of better viscosity tolerance they always feel to drive better than the Lucas equivalent.
