The NX is an original Warwickshire registration(1921-1974), and VS is an original Greenock (Renfrewshire) registration (1903-1974).

My old red 205 GTi was an NX registration... H310 BNX

With a VS plate the blue bike may be carrying an age-related registration, having lost its original... Many in that situation are as there's still loads of Scottish registration numbers lying spare as they never exhausted their allocations before the big changes in 1963 and 1964. Some Scottish regions never even came close and still have a lot of XX 9999 format registrations available...

There are loads of NXs around here, the company I worked for had several NX vans. I was under the impression that it was a Northumberland registration.

Pre-74 NX definitely Warwickshire, 1974-96 NX was Dudley,

On modern Registrations in the format like NX 52 ABC The N is Newcastle, and the X is one of a series of letters originally for Stockton ((P R S T U V W X Y) which oddly is the only sub division of the Regional two letter prefix with all the others being Newcastle (A B C D E G H J K L M N O). I am guessing that the Stockton distinction has now been superseded.

Its not that good condition, or perhaps one of Kawasaki's finest, but it has a look of its time which is very different from 2023 motorbikes.

It's not a proper GT550.... It's not a two-stroke triple or a Suzuki!

Kawasaki used to make some magical two-stroke triples once upon a time :)

An album of what we saw to be auctioned by WB and Sons in due course when we visited on Wednesday :)

Their storage garage is more like a museum! Enjoy :D

The one I wanted to take home :)

Nice gallery Jim. Still more to come before the sale in September. I always find the chaps down at WB very approachable and accommodating.
I think I am very much in the just looking not buying while the BB Micra and Leaf keep chugging along.

This was quite rare at the time in the UK, and even rarer now.

Nice rear, and its side profile has a hint of its heritage on show, although did appear under the take-over-er's brand.

Developed by NSU and sold as a Volkswagen... A bit like how the Volvo 343 was developed by DAF and sold as a Volvo after the takeover...
