Not according to the musicians list on the album Voulez Vous where I have a Dream first appeared.

The track I am thinking of was on the album "The Visitors" and it was Abba's last major hit for 40 years.

On "One of Us" Right at the beginning too, if it's played after that it is lost within the production and indistinct. Wiki page I linked to even has the player listed in the Personnel paragraph.

I had another listen, slowed it down a tad and yes I think there is a short intro which quickly gets swallowed by the strings, although there is a soft base track behind the singing which may be mandolin too. There are actually 3 named with mandolin on that wiki page so I wonder if it was a common list for the whole album?

Well every day's a schoolday!! The mandolin sounds on I Have a Dream were in fact those of a Bouzouki, a similar stringed instrument from Greece!!:

Yes 3 on the album, The Visitors, but the page link I included was for the song "One of us" which listed only Rutger Gunnarsson – bass, mandolin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_of_Us_(ABBA_song)

Of course if we are relying on wiki for accuracy, we may be struggling

and when I do now yes the 3 mandolin players are there! Either overnight the wiki fairies have been causing mischief, and altered the list, or the faint possibility that the Falcon didn't read the list properly

I think on reflection more likely to be the latter...apologies Mick!
