the only reason i said what i did above Richard is that fitting the cleaned injectors made it run like a peach for anout 5 minutes, its a good point you make for sure, maybe the injector thing was just a red herring..............

I managed to buy a new one for £30 delivered, so will give it a whirl, i will check the wiring though guys thanks.

does it not have a heated tip to get working straight away (ish)? mind you Tim didnt say exactly how long it ran well for.

There was also a fantastic looking ZX Volcane there that I loved - just a shame that ZX numbers are so low that they don't warrant a trophy of their own...yet...
