A much smaller sale this one with only 17 cars at the time of posting. However there are three in there that have made me have a decision to make, which I am still mulling over. 10 points for any one who can name my three before I declare the winner! :-D

The fire engine reminded me, our local brigade had one for a short time, it carried a large water tank in the rear which made it a bit of a pig to handle as the lads found out when they lost control and took out a corner shop on a call out.

I think I'd go for the low mileage E-Type in need of a little fettling as I think it'd be quite pleasing to get that back into an OK condition but still with plenty of originality to it. :)

I remember going to Marchington where they stored the Green Goddesses just before they were going to be sold off. It was a sight to behold - shed after shed with them in. There were miles of hose pipes stored as well. Bloody miles of it  Wonder what happened to all of the GGs ? I presume some went to collectors, but the bulk went to overseas territories ?
Somewhere I have a copy of the TNT(?) training video that was distributed to the squaddies to show them how to use the GGs.

Back in 1954 my drive in Egypt was a Bedford RL stores bin van belonging to the RAOC, the storeman who loaded it put all the starters/alternators etc on one side and all the light bulbs and ignition parts on the other, it made interesting handling sneaking across the desert at speed in the dark.
Our RLs were all petrol the green goddesses in the UK were, I think diesels.

I'm pretty sure the GGs were petrol, I drove one a few years ago and that was certainly petrol. One or two were used to deal with the flooding down in Chichester many years ago and a mate had to manage one for a while. They drank petrol at an alarming rate as the engine was run at full tilt to get the pumps working well.
I think they were still highly rated for pumping capacity right up until they were sold off. Their original function was actually more for pumping water than your actual classic fire fighting IIRC.

Here's a rather unusual collection that includes the exotic and the mundane so pick away:

For my choice I have to go for:
Spoiler: show
It just had to be!
It just had to be!
because it is an identicle car and colour, though with a different gearbox, that I owned and rallied for a couple of seasons in the 80s, I had to part with it due to tin worm but during its career it had gained the nickname 'The Flying Banana' and tended to raise a few grins at every scrutineering session :-D
