Well the musical background for ne today startre off with a bit of Italian sung by Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero in the film "Flight of the Pheonix" , The song "Senza Fine"

Then there was a debate who sung "the best" version. Well one of the candidates was Monica Mancini, Henry's and Virginia's daughter. Also Ornella Vanoni was put forward

and in an unrelated but co-incidental way, I have been listening to Johnny Rivers the original performer of Jimmy Webb's "By the time I get to Pheonix" following an appearance of a particular camper on George Clarkes Amazing Space programme....and the subject of the camper whatsthisthen?

What have you been listening to?

I forgot that I had posted that, only found it yesterday.
She is impressive enough to be worth posting twice anyway.

Still have a Bobby Gentry LP with that on it.

This caught my ear today. No idea who Wildwood Kin are will have to investigate Maybe a touch of Joni/ touch of fleetwood mac in this song. Enjoyed it.

and the other thing as yet unreleased was a track called Gammel Dansk from Ralph Mctell's as yet unreleased album "Hill of Beans". Reminded me of Leonard Cohen's "Dance me to the End of Love" in its feel.

I am going to do a Steve. More about Wildwood Kin here. Hail from the West Country and more than doing their apprenticeship gigging around the country. Been at Glastonbury and on The Old Grey Whistle test. Some similarities with the band Haim, but this song for me is particularly strong on a few hearings. So no apologies here it is again with a different video with the lyrics and a bit of art!

P.E.Jukebox Elements theme-10 songs please

Unread post by NewcastleFalcon »

Well I did a little pice on Hydrogen this morning so can we put together 10 songs on elements in the periodic table as a theme. ( yes plenty of scope with Silver/Gold/Iron/ Oxygen and maybe a bit of mercury and titanium!

and what better start than the original and best covering all of them at the time.

Oxygen...

The 2 obvious selections would be from Jean Michel Jarre or the Sweet.
