All Xantia hatchbacks used the same calipers.

In practice, the short story is that they all use the same disks and pads (estates have bigger rear brakes).

Ah nice at least my options are wider when looking for some replacements

If I have not already made this suggestion you might want to put some gasket paper between the calliper and the trailing arms. Because of the 'metal incompatibility' over time a hard, slate like corrosion form between the calliper and the trailing arm, pushing the calliper off line and reducing the braking force on the rear brakes. Hopefully the gasket paper would stop this from happening (I did try this on my first C5, but she was rear-ended before we could see how the callipers behaved over time.

Ah thanks pal, it’s coming along now Ive started collecting the parts for it and have ordered a timing belt tool for it. As I crack threw things i let you all know how i get and show you the pics.

Ah yea I remembered you telling me about that when i was first looking at the callipers i had that in mind, this is just a wild guess but as you’ve had a c5 would you happen to know if both the rear calipers are compatible, they do look pretty similar

I do not know the the callipers (between the C5 and the Xantia) are the same, but I do know they both suffer from the corrosion issue.

I presume you are talking REAR brakes just wanted to clarify for Scottculli that the fronts have a few variables (calipers + discs)

Scottculli i have some spares for a MK11 Xantia, i think i have some rear calipers, i will have look over the weekend and make a list of some bits and pieces but if i have the rear calipers they are yours for postage

the only problem is ive orded the wrong size seals so ive got to swap those

Hey everyone i hope youve had a nice Christmas, i ordered the seals so now the callipers are back together and i can check them of the list all i need now are two rubber seals and two calliper bolts as I snapped a couple of them trying to get them out . I was looking on the internet and was having a hard time trying to find any. I looked on eBay and saw to calliper bolts for a bx and was wondering if they where compatible?

Now that I’ve finished the brakes im going to do the timing belt. The one thing is i have the callipers disconnect and the brake sodeur disconnected is the a way of just running the engine and not have the hydraulic squirt green fluid everywhere when i turn the engine over
