Yes, but technically it does have a cat and therefore the regulations are satisfied.

Re: Citrojim's Xantia and XM Tales
My '93 TCT Xm wouldn't pass the MOT emissions test with the tired original cat so running clean
enough without seems optimistic? Yes it could well have been the Lambda that was changed at
the same time but the fuel and ignition are set up to have the damned things although I realise
there's some leeway allowing for the ECU's to adjust mixture etc.

Re: Citrojim's Xantia and XM Tales
A little praise for the DVLA today. I'd not received a new V5C for the mobility scooter so I rang them.
Got through very quickly and spoke to a nice Welsh lad who informed me they had me as the registered keeper of the car by they'd transcribed my address incorrectly. A new V5C has been despatched. All very quick and straightforward...

Good news Jim. I was thinking while driving home from your house on Saturday that I had got a notice through about a change of keeper for the XM within a week or so.

Re: Citrojim's Xantia and XM Tales
I was getting worried about it too Chris. I believe they just got the house number wrong but the problem in our road is there are 'holes' in the numbering and many numbers here don't actually exist. Try looking for number 84 or 86 and you'll never find it. We're mostly odd in this street - make of that what you will

I'm not sure about best in the world, Jim. One of my neighbours is such a good sort we have no dividing fence. It gives an excellent illusion; half an acre of blended gardens in suburbia. Hard to beat that, especially when they flick you the keys to their beach house up north, for a week or more in the year.

I don't mind odd neighbours. Sadly mine are noisy, rude and aggressive.
Well, they were. They've been well behaved recently..
