Simon, think about it. How well do you know this type of Xantia? Pretty damned well if this post is anything to go by. Yes, there will be differences, but the majority of the parts will be the same. Dents and scratches can be sorted out. You have always wanted a V6 Xantia, and your current one has taught you well (even though, in the end, it has let you down). Now one has come along that could provide you with years of reliable motoring, and you have the knowledge and experience to keep it running smoothly. What more do you want? There are also members on the forum who want to help you get what you want.

EDIT 2; OK, I think we should back off, and let Simon make his own decision (it seems he already has). I don't know why you have turned it down, and I hope that you a; don't regret it and b; find the one you DO want.

Mine is a late series 2 and has Trafficmaster, but support for the system stopped a couple of years ago, so it's silent now (except to test).
Interesting to read about odd parts being used, mine has light leather but the dark seat bases and carpets.

An Activa wouldn't be a bad buy... You can always make it a V6 using the parts from your current V6...(Engine excluded obviously).

Simon may not have the required experience under the sink with basin wrench to deal with the constant leaks.
Don't you need an account with Plumbline and Pirtec to own an Activa?
