Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Stop - I've already getting withdrawal symptoms 'cos my 2CV is so far from being usable since I was in Malmedy the w/eof the Spa 24 hr race.
Anyway, more recently, last Thursday morning, to be precise, coming back from Devon, off the M25 onto the A20 & in a laybye, over the hedge a familiar white boxxy shape, as I passed, glanced in the n/s door mirror &, yup - another C15! Don't think I've seen one (on the road) since Donnington (the village, i.e.) on way back from Manchester in July.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Spotted a certain red Xantia Activa this morning whilst out on my run...
Parked in the vicinity of a well regarded vehicle repairer...
Took me quite by surprise at first.. I thought 'Gosh - a Xantia! '
Then I recognised the number plate - XAN71A
Hope the Two Wrestlers do a good job of fixing it Zel

Zel's Activa...
Still outside the garage being/has been repaired...
A poor quality photo as it is a still taken from my GoPro video of a short bike ride...
And the sun was in the wrong place...

Yeah, there was a slight hold up due to me leaving the wrong immobiliser code with the garage! Hopefully we should have it back on Monday.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
walking down the road yesterday morning, a silver 406 estate went by - so seems I haven't got the only French estate of this era in the neighbourhood?

I saw this earlier today. I owned an estate version of this TZDturbo from 1991 until 1998. It had the most comfortable seats I've ever sat on in a car.

I had a BX19RD estate and it was out first 'proper' car, rather than a banger, since the GS.
Quick, quiet, very roomy and very comfortable.

Registration is (I think) the old Cadiz prefix.
Dead right about BX seats - wonderfully comfortable. XM carried on the tradition, thankfully.

This BX was in Nerja. You're right about the Cadiz reg. You don't see too many of those about now.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Nerja - we live around 20mins away.
We see only one BX with any regularity now, a BX D (which has to be a tad basic), a red Series 2, parked up (but in use) in El Morche. Scruffy, but it looks to be having some restoration work done on it, ever so gradually.
One more (a white S1 14 petrol) sat in various sidestreets in nearby Mezquitilla, and was finally left to rot in an open-air car park.
Otherwise, we see only one a year now, passing through.
