I need to do a full valet on bigpug. The interior in particular needs a good clean and condition of the leather. Littlepug, the 205, is spotless inside, its outside is the bit that needs a decent polish and wax. Dont think ill ever get them as clean as you do though. Maybe once upon a time I would but my physical problems kind of cut me back on the cleaning side of it now.

A Clay Bar works wonders as a start Dave.....that and taking time to wax it a panel at a time.

I've never used a clay bar. Maybe time I tried one. I've usually been an autoglym polish man. That's after tar remover. Except on black cars then I use tcut colour enriched polish. It always seems to bring a black car up well.

Thanks Jim....

Dave, you use the Clay Bar before any polishing as it removes an amazing amount of crud off the surface (even if you think it is spotless already).....great stuff, I was shocked. I clay bar the front and around the wheels/sills about every 5 or 6 washes now. Why is there so much sticky stuff on the roads ?

So wash, leather, clay bar, polish, wax and it's done? That will bloody kill me nowadays lol. Has to be done though, 205 first. It's littler lol

Just go one panel at a time. I can never manage a whole car at once. Well I can but I do a rubbish job of the second half because I get fed up.

Halfords do a clay bar type mitt, that can be washed and re-used. I have one, but I have yet to use it.

I have been reading a Terry Pratchett book, and I have found something relevant here. I take it your cubed tumbleweed is otherwise known as "Stumbleweed"? This is like tumbleweed, but less athletic.

I also have a clay bar mitt, but I'm waiting until I have a car worthy of using it on before I open the packet!

It is not always Citroen's. Re-engined, new (old) chassis, new (old) bodywork (old), new (old) everything ! Offering a little limited assistance with this.
