Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
That's the full set, well done for persevering and deciphering my warped mind!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Wouldn't it be funny if either of those songs turned out to be today's track on Heardle
Intros from Music tracks....each guess or skip gives you a bit more. Got yesterdays in 2 seconds! (dreams by Fleetwood Mac) I'll just pop over and do it now...guaranteed not pre-staged!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Me too Mick, wouldn't have got it in a month of Sundays!
No it wasn't Blondie or Stealers Wheel!
Regards Neil
Safe to say if I heard all 3.08 of that rather than the 16 seconds max provided I would never have got it. Safe to say not my era, too easy a start obviously with Fleetwood Mac!NewcastleFalcon wrote: 06 Mar 2022, 10:25 Wouldn't it be funny if either of those songs turned out to be today's track on Heardle

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
and My scores
Worldle...six and out looks like Africa finds me out as being quite ignorant of its geography, just like that lot on UC know very little about Northumberland and Durham! Nearest I got was Ethiopia.
Nerdle...five attempts
Wordle...got it on the sixth attempt while muttering about american spellings of words and a failed attempt with the word "clomb" which it allowed as a word hence wasting an attempt, before I spotted the "Normal" word staring me in the face.
and obviously I am as ignorant about Kanye West as I am on Africa so didn't trouble the scorers on Heardle
. I'm quite keen to learn more about Africa, but feel as if I can leave Kanye to one side on a don't need to know basis.
Regards Neil

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
I got to learn a fair bit about Africa when my daughter and son-in-law went to Mozambique and set up an orphan school fund for the local community. They were involved for around 4 years culminating in the opening of the school a few years ago. As a result I spent some time looking at the map and picking up what I now have stored away!! Doesn't help with Kanye West tho!!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Another pointless Heardle for me, never heard the tune and only recognise the artist's name as one of those occasionally offered as a multiple choice answer on quiz shows!! Music has to be pre 1990 for me to have any chance!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Well I recognised the sample at the end, so before my 6th guess I did a search for favourite things Sample.mickthemaverick wrote: 07 Mar 2022, 11:09 Another pointless Heardle for me, never heard the tune and only recognise the artist's name as one of those occasionally offered as a multiple choice answer on quiz shows!! Up comes Big Brovas, but it wasn't that one, but it turns out its by one of the current biggest contemporary artists in the world. In the top 10 of most followers on Twitter until she deleted her account!
So wouldn't have got in in 6 , but after my little reward for recognising the favourite things sample I did submit the right song and artist for my bogus attempt.
The sample

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
A fringe benefit of the doing the
Worldle quiz is finding out more about the daily location. There is always wiki to look at.
Seems like it generates a bit of publicity for the location country too.
So in a big spoiler for today's puzzle the Telegraph has done an article on 12 facts about today's location here
