Hello Marc
Could you let me know which kit I need to buy if I give you my VIN number?

Re: Eolys?
I have your VIN already Jack (ending 843 I believe).
You should have a Blue Clickfit connector and according to your build number (13477), you need Eolys Powerflex additive.
Here are the part numbers and the Walker alternatives:- so any of the products in BLUE.

Thank that was very quick thank you very much
I've found walkers website, I searched the two website you sent info previously to no avail.
Where is the best place to get that stuff from?

Have a look here Jack@
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... e&_sacat=0
This is just a search on powerflex - make sure it is powerflex specifically - but a few choices there depending on the size kit you want - ignore the pouches - you are looking ofr wither the 1 litre of 3 litre kits

Hi Marc
Thanks for all your help
I've connect my Lexia to my car but I cannot find where I need to tell the system that I filled the tank again.
Could you let me know where I need to search?
Cheers

Re: Eolys?
Run a Global Test first of all.
When it is complete, locate the injection ECU (icon of an injector on the left). Yours will be a Bosch.
Select this and confirm
Within the next lot of menus there should be an option for REPAIR or PACK REPAIR
There will be an option for the additive and for resetting the additive counter there somewhere Jack.
Each version of Diagbox can be different - but that's the general location.

Re: Eolys?
HI Marc
Thanks for that, I have found it, apparently the ECU is called EDC17CP42.
On a "Repair" section there is table with mileage and amount of additif added,
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vgy7lbi1j2929 ... 5.JPG?dl=0
The next page it ask for the quantity in gram
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wcx6xsqnjhwu ... 6.JPG?dl=0
Do i just enter the amount according to the colum Miles, ie 77,04 for 93200 miles, regardless of the quantity the tank takes to fill up?

Re: Eolys?
That's correct a Bosch EDC17CP42 Jack.
As for the screenshots....
No - come out of that part Jack - that is for when you have the ECU updated or reprogrammed - it is to update the ECU with the amount of additive that has already been dumped in the filter. In that situation you are supposed to record the amount the ECU has recorded to input into the ECU when it has its software updated or reprogrammed - The table is there if that was not possible as an estimate. But you do not need that section ata ll.
You don't need that section, but it is somewhere there.

Hi Marc
I think I have found where it is

I assume the last tick is when the reservoir is full

Re: Eolys?
That's it, I'll copy the pictures and upload them directly on this thread Jack to save the grey matter next time - you press the green tick to start the operation and then follow the instructions on the next screen. This will help others in future - I'll just refer them to this post.
Thanks for the pictures

Re: Eolys?
Hi, I am new to the forum, so I am not sure if its the right thread to ask, but Ill try.
On Citroen C5 X7 1.6 HDI 2008, I had a warning on the dash for a while "Risk of particle filter clogging" alongside with permanent annoying service light.
Once scanned with the Lexia I do get "P1434" fault code. (Excessive temp or open circuit of the additive pump...)
I have taken the tank off and inspected it. The tank is 3/4 full. I have checked the voltage coming to the tanks socket and it measures 8V with the ignition on, and 11.5V once car is started. I have noticed some burns or corrosion on the contacts but its very minor.
So before throwing a money at it and buying a new tank my qestions are:
• Is the pump located in the tank itself? (And the fault code points at very same pump inside the tank?)
• Are there any other checks I can do to make sure its a faulty pump, not the wiring?
(Eg. Hooking up the pump to the power supply to test it?)
Thanks

Just as a matter of interest -- Could this happen if the tank had been topped up and the counter hadn't been reset?imbradas wrote: 27 Sep 2019, 09:38 I had a warning on the dash for a while "Risk of particle filter clogging" alongside with permanent annoying service light.

Re: Eolys?
Ok, so as I thought, you have the DV6TED4 110 engine, and this fault is triggered because there is excessive temperature on the power stage of the additive pump ' or an open circuit.
As a result, the additive pump is deactivated as a safety feature and additionally, this results in the incorrect cumulative calculation of the quality of additive to be injected.
In other words no additive is being injected into the tank and in turn this is restricting particle filter regeneration. DPF additive lowers the temperature at which the soot particles can be burnt off - without this they can't be burnt off and this will lead to clogging - hence the warning you are getting.
You really need to limit your mileage NOW! - until you resolve the problem.
Not doing so will lead to the DPF blocking and when it gets to over 70% full, it will no longer be able to regenerate, requiring the filter to be taken off and deep cleaned or replaced.
The fuel additive injector is integral to the fuel gauge and cannot be separated - but this is not where your problem is likely to be - it is the actual additive pump that is incorporated onto the additive tank that is suggested as the faulty component.
