So, this is the final "look" I am after, the units do fit (it is very tight) and can be mounted to be fully adjustable.

I am taking my time working this all out Davie, I am doing this so I can get it to "Kit form" that will fit S1 and S2 cars (individual front cover plates) and ? maybe the XM.

I plan a flat pack system, 2mm steel mountings, templates/cutting guides and new clear lens covers.....it will be interesting to see how low a price I can get it down to.
(Xantia drivers do not spend much !)

It is most definately true that is why i am going diesel for a while.

Looking absolutely fantastic though Alasdair. I will be putting my order in soon for three sets when all three of mine are on the road.
