HDi 2.0 8V wont start when cold - FIXED - NOT - YES

Should do, it will run on three, and throw ON the engine managment light then.... a lexia will DEFO be needed to clear it..

not too much news.. car has been starting for a week now without easy start.. some days starting after 4 turns, sometimes after 15/20.

This morning and tonight, temp was down to that nervous 5C .. both times car was much better than it used to be..

tonight at the office.. was expecting a long time for her to start, as it is, it wasn't bad at all.

tomorrow morning will be another crucial time..
anyway.. thoughts on anything, how the engine sounds when turning over, fuel pressure etc are welcome.
I don't think the Lexia is fast enough to closely follow the engine through start up

Car would hardly start today, for the first time in a while.. wasn't hugely cold but by no means warm

maybe,, the battery is the culprit.. some days it performs better than others,, or has more charge in..

ive never used a lexia before but surely the injector readings should be the sameish...there seams a big diff in a couple of them

goodness, some of them are not cheap... £65 per injector! can get a whole engine for less then 4 of those lol

will have a look and maybe buy or borrow one.. do I need seals and things? are they easy to remove?

yea a seal kit deffo...really u might wana try putting some redex or stp in the tank for couple of weeks first to give the injectors a chance to clean themselfs first and see how its performing...ive put full bottles in half a tank before now but i havent done it for ages now and after seeing the tips of my injectors i can see why its a important thing to do..worth a try give it a good blast around for a couple of weeks on injector cleaner if no better then maybe its time to dig deeper..atleast it will start
