It's over a tenner now. Serious money...

I'd love to have a crack at this car simply for the challenge of it. Trouble is, time, space and money are all at a premium

I did my first ever "Citroen C6" search on ebay today, was never a fan, but I may have to give in at some point to a petrol V6  :P

Came across this and had a feeling there'd be a thread about it on here.

Oh dear.... was great to see the account from somebody who actually went to see it. To say it's history is dodgy would be polite.

Reminds me of the Vel Satis I bought at the end of 2010. It just takes one change of keeper into the wrong hands for these big Frenchies to completely freak out. I only paid £500 for it, and I wouldn't want to be paying much more for this.

Third time lucky?

I think it would be a laugh to buy it and sink your teath into it, much like i did with my Activa and if you could get it for £500 then even if it is a total basket case you wont loose but cars are always ten times worse to sort out when someone else has had a go first and failed, not only to you have to solve the problem you have to be sure they havnt done anything daft to add to the problem.

Service Citroen is awesome, it shows me pictures of all the parts i used to be able to buy............

Precisely. At £500, or perhaps even the price it's at, I'd be happy to have her parked up looking sorry for herself and just get to know the big lady - like a rescue dog that's had a hard life and just needs a lot of love to get back to it's normal self. Then again, a rescue dog doesn't have a rodent infested French electrical system and 6 million ECUs

Shocked, absolutely shocked

Starting price is reasonable and about it's true worth
Shall we all chip in £20 and buy it for a laugh?

Could you not make it work with a 2.0HDi Jim?

I thought Jim would have had one of these beasts by now. A broken one could be a car to start threads of intrigue and disaster.
We could have threads lasting 25 pages just to find out why the courtesy lights don't work.

I can see the neighbours peeking from behind the curtains. "Oh look now Ethel he's got a big French thing!" "What Doris ?......you mean a baguette?"

Just thinking. My Vel has 14 ecus..........can you check these with a test bulb and two croc clips?

As electrically terrifying as the Satis is... I don't think it's a patch on the C6
