Did you remove all the fuses including the maxi fuses during the testing? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

One at a time, yes. I checked all the maxi fuses too. Removed the BSM completely and then had just the maxi fuse holder connected to 12V as before. No change again, still a 2 amp drain. I may disconnect the ECU next and check, that will rule out the feed to it at least.
I have ruled out the BSM as this is a replacement part, it has to be a chafed cable or a stuck relay I suspect, more likely the latter. I still can't find any relay or wiring diagrams which would help.

Ah! How about the diode pack on the alternator? Could be something to rule out, if I can disconnect the alternator and test again. I need small hands!
