It all looks very nice but impractical for me.
I was considering a replacement Olympus E-500 but then found that my chargitupper was faulty, one of the terminals had come loose from the plastic pins and wasn't charging properly. A blob of 'Oily Glue' and with any luck all will be well again. Will take a few days to determine that though.

By impractical I assume you mean to view before you bid Steve? Collecting from the sale and getting to you would not be an issue

No, just that I would be unlikely to use them.
I have three cameras and two phones that do all the camera-ing that I need.
I would like my OM kit back from ex-daughter-in-law, several thousand quids worth, also regret selling my Hasselblad kit but again would be very unlikely to use it if I still had it - although I could put a digital back on it as they are very modular.

That's where I am right now Steve :) Though having said that I do have a bit of wish to scratch the medium format itch... Trouble is, if I do, I don't have any way of scanning the negatives as my scanner is 35mm only. I'd need to get both if I went down that road...

Also a problem for me. I have thousands of 6x6 cm slides and negatives and a suitable scanner is prohibitively expensive.
I did make a start with a projector and screen but it isn't much fun.
Bought the 'bladare when I was 17. Cost 50% more than dad's Morris 1100

Looks interesting MIck. Will give that some thought. Just the connection to a phone that I have reservations about.

I tried something similar for 35mm negatives and whilst the Kodak software was excellent - still usefully on my 'phone - the ultimate result was disappointing although with 6x6 slides, being that much larger, things may be acceptable - having a good 'phone camera will help too.

You can get the Kodak Mobile Film Scanner app. separately for your phone if you want to try before vomiting any funds to it.

The app. saves the slides as jpegs on the phone Steve so no connection needed...

I still need them on my laptop to be able to do anything with them Jim. Phones are too small and fiddly and I would need to archive them on an external hard drive.

May have a go with the dreaded 'app' and see how that performs first.

If it's an Android Steve, you can transfer images using a USB cable between the 'phone and laptop - no connections to the Internet therefore required :)

Or you can use bluetooth between phone and laptop, or load Signal (secure communicator that Jim and I both use) on both, save pics in Note to Self on the phone and then access them on the laptop and save wherever you want them. That is the method I use and transfer 12 pics at a time. :-D
