A friend of mine recommended The Blundell Arms in Horwich as a good place for lunch in the Bolton area Matt. What do you think? :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

I'll do some digging. You're coming very much nearer to me if coming to Horwich, I'd also recommend a drive round Rivington ( or, to say it as I would "ere, are you gonna 'ead up Rivvie?" )

I'm not sure if Jim does fell running but he could jog up Winter Hill towards the TV mast from the car park at the bottom of the hill. The great barn also nice fix a stop for a brew etc.
I'll pull some links up soon.

I thought you were making a joke for a moment with the Blundell Arms
Spoiler: show
as that's my surname! No relation to whoever runs if owns that, but plenty of Blundells round here / towards Wigan way

I'll leave Jim to comment on the sites but if you are happy to give the Blundell a go we can firm that up for Richard and anyone else who might like to join us. ? :)

I'm pretty easy going, as am doing a fair bit less travelling if that's what/where you fancy. It's got some good pictures of food and positive reviews so seems a good contender to me! :-D

Not hard-core fell running (yet!) Matt but although I love trail running and running uphill so a run up to the TV transmitter would be awesome - yes please!
