Just be careful as petrols have their fair share of issues - more so than the diesels! EB2 petrol engines have a wet belt system and there are known issues with these - so make sure exact recommended oil is used and check timing belt intervals as they are a lot shorter initially to replace duff belts that break up.

They can also consume a lot of oil.

I have a 1.5 Blue HDI, very pleased, not issues, very economical and by using anti-Adblue crystallisation additive, I've never had an issue. On mine, there's also a DPF but no separate additive system, so it regenerates naturally.

As an old school mechanic in my sixties I shall donate my findings regarding high pressure fuel lines on HDI motors, over the last ten years or so I have successfully repaired a number of vehicles suffering from leaking injector seals, the "Black death" as it is sometimes called, in every case this has required removal of these high pressure lines, all I have ever done to these lines is ensure they are clean and refit, running the gland nuts down by hand and then hand tightening by feel using a regular spanner, some of these cars have returned to me for other work for years, and thousands of miles without issue, I was not surprised to see that they are intended to be single use, many items are according to the manufacturers but this advice is often disregarded due to necessity and cost, for example some bolts are single use because they are coated with locking compound, add a drop of loctite and they are good to go, I think the trick of it is knowing which bits are really genuine single use and which bits are cash generators, just my 2p worth.
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.

Well I think it's fair to say we can see in the example above what happens when they are not replaced - and what potential knock-on issues this is causing. I wouldn't personally re-use high pressure fuel pipes.
