Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
Nor me - as this is the first I have heard of this! The only versions with corner height sensors are the V6 (2.7 and 3.0) versions and yours is a 2.2, so can't be that. Something not right at all as the rear suspension has to have a height sensor so the suspension ECU knows the position of the rear, otherwise it cannot make corrections if it doesn't know the position of the vehicle ride height.

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
You have to remove the plastic box, before you can go on, because first of all you need to know if the high sensor is there and is it connected with the wire.
If it is, then you only need the clamp and connecting rod.

VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Here is my vin. I will look again under that plastic cover to see if the sensor is there. But again, the car corrects itself whenever its loaded or unloaded, so it knows the height somehow. There are indeed 2 sensors on each wheel, but I dont know if those are the ones telling the height.
I also found this bit configured in BSI

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
The BSI setting for the rear ride height is correct (this is not relevant for this vehicle and relates to vehicles like the C4 Picasso with pneumatic rear suspension only (rear air suspension bags, not hydraulic suspension).
Ok, so with your VIN, this now makes sense, as you have the DW12C engine and this variant is the exception, where it has a single front height sensor and the rear has a sensor on each wheel, so there won't be a sensor on the rear axle. I was going to say there is no way it would operate otherwise, so that has cleared the mystery up and we can forget about the rear height sensors now as they are present and on each rear wheel.
Note, it would be easier in future to upload you pictures direct tot he forum. Just use the FULL EDITOR & PREVIEW button, select ATTACHMENTS, browse phone or PC for pics to upload them, then PLACE images as needed. It's inconvenient to have to keep switching browser windows to view each image.

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
As this car is in Romania is it possible that the spec is different and the car does in fact have the corner height sensors as fitted to the V6.

Do we have a way of adjusting the heights of the back sensors? Or lower the front? What could be done in this case?

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
No Eric - only on the rear. The front still has a single axle sensor. There's no variation for LHD RHD, only the V6 with 4 wheel sensors, this one with 3 sensors and the standard 2 sensor versions.Gibbo2286 wrote: 29 Feb 2024, 09:24 As this car is in Romania is it possible that the spec is different and the car does in fact have the corner height sensors as fitted to the V6.

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
The procedure is exactly the same for height correction checks, but obviously with different values for the Saloon and Tourer models. When fine tuning the calculations are entered into Diagbox and any adjustments are made to ensure values are within the reference values.Costina wrote:I am sorry for the inconvenience! So what you really need to do in Diagbox is look at the suspension ECu and see what the actual front and rear values are and what the reference values are. Put a picture up of those screens.

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
I also missing the check on errors with the diagbox.
It's possible that one of the sensors at the back is faulty
Greetings,
Kees.

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
This is the data that can be displayed, as shown on my post here (bear in mind this is a v6 3lt version), but the same data is available in Diagbox:

So as far as I understand, there is no actual way to mechanically adjust the version I have?

Re: Citroen C5 rear suspension questions & problems
The clue is in the first page that tells you the programming is incomplete, which means someone has attempted to undertake the programming and it has not been done.
I can't advise on the negative travel values displayed and what these should be, as I don't have the specific meaning of those parameters other than what is stated - the instant travel values, nor what the normal values should be. I suspect these will change as the height changes.
The only thing I can suggest to you at this point is that you get a Citroen dealership to undertake a proper check of the height adjustments and at the same time show them the report so that they can check the rear sensors have been properly configured / programmed. Data on the these is extremely limited.
