Thanks Rui, I didnt realise there were tooltips on the links on your site - thanks for the pointer and I can see my software modules for HMI. IMX and V850 are the same as the oldest firmware in your list, and I checked the system version (previous menu as you advised) and it is version 12FD.

It sounds like it's overdue an update.

Best regards

Hi all, I've spent most of the weekend trying to update the firmware on my headunit to enable Android Auto, the RCC 12FD Wave 2 has Mirrorlink and Carplay and Carplay has been tested by the dealer I bought the car from. I have spent much of the weekend trying different USB sticks plus MicroSD cards in USB adapters, but always get the same error message; 'USB key isn't compatible with this vehicle', I've reset the head unit back to factory defaukts, I've used USB Keys from Kingston, SanDisk, two unbranded ones plus a couple of Samsung MicroSD cards, and all are 16GB or larger. I've tried creating them with the Citroen update program, entering my VIN so it can download the last firmware update relevant for my headunit. I'm writing from memory atm but on the USB there is a folder called RCC update (with all the relevant update files from Bosch, etc.), there is a second folder called license with the relevant license file for my head unit. But none of them work, I've tried creating a second folder with licence spelt with a 'c' instead of 's', and het the same outcome. I've also formatted the USB keys manually with fat32 and copied the files extracted from the update file from RUI's website, again with two different license/licence folders with the licence key in each, I noted an xml file on RUI's update files, so left that in, but no success. Finally, I've dropped some audio files; mpg and wva onto the USB keys to check they play and they do, so the USB keys are compatible with the head unit to play audio files, including being able to browse different folders and playing different audio files. So, I'm stuck, would welcome any thoughts on whether I should buy a couple of new 16/32GB USB keys and persevere, but I wonder if the head unit is never going to accept a USB based update and will be wasting my time, maybe I need to see if I can find a Citroen dealer that may be happy to try the update? I know I could buy a cheap iPhone but I've subscribed to the Android eco system so wonder if anyone had any other suggestions? Many thanks.

Hi, I have a Peugeot 3008 originating from Japan with a similar issue: it comes with Bosch RCC A2 (Wave 2, with firmware version 076C) but it is not showing AA feature. Cable is confirmed since Carplay works through it. So I am unsure whether it is just telecoding or a hardware limitation where only Carplay and Mirrorlink are supported but not AA. Should I invest in Diagbox and see if it can be enabled?

Furthermore, due to Japan origin, the FM radio frequency spans until 90Mhz. Anyone know if, again, this is a hardware limitations where only of this radio or the European frequencies can be unlocked?
