I wouldn't exactly call a 2004 vehicle "NEW", and that was the last year of the Discovery TD5 - so we are talking about a 20+ year old style of headlight...

newly acquired Discovery .....I assumed.....but not really the point
Why do you think other drivers (wollopers) are flashing you ?.....could it be for "fun" ?
Just got back from the shops....(it is dark)....9 cars with misaligned headlamps on a 6 mile run (as in: one lamp being high) and 6 types stood out as overly "bright" when compared to the other cars on the road tonight. (sad as it may be, I counted)

About average for such a trip in my experience...Stickyfinger wrote: 08 Dec 2023, 18:14 Just got back from the shops....(it is dark)....9 cars with misaligned headlamps on a 6 mile run (as in: one lamp being high) and 6 types stood out as overly "bright" when compared to the other cars on the road tonight. As ever was. Nothing changes. I remember similar discussions when quartz halogen headlights began to replace the old tungsten ones. Much complaint of being dazzling, blinding and needlessly over-bright...
Some of us were still driving around in cars with 6V electrics!

We were walking around with paraffin lamps in those days!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
