Multimeter has ruined bsi?

Of course, I forget about this.

And the mechanic will test tomorrow evening. Hopefully just a reset or at worst a new coil pack.

An update.
A diagnostic was completed and bsi is all okay.
Just had to replace the coil pack and car still running normal after 500 miles.

The test was with Carter's Cars in Scunthorpe. For Citroen and Peugeot.

Firstly the BSI is not connected to the ignition coil.
I reckon the only way you could have done damage like this is if the meter wires were left in the amps measuring configuration, in this cas it would be just like putting a piece of wire directly from the battery to the component.
I also agree that a windings resistance check is not really a good way to test a coil, i have replaced plenty of faulty coils that show ok on a resistance check.

Glad you got sorted bud. Just out of curiosity, is it 4x individual coil packs on your engine, or one big interconnected coil pack module that connects to all 4 plugs?

Coil pack? it's one interconnected module.

I bought a cheap Lucas pattern part as replacement.
