Yup, I've looked into this topic, but I'm not sure if its going to fit in either.citroenguy wrote: 14 Jan 2023, 17:41 You can do a turbo ES9, but i don't know if the kit will fit in a C6.

Re: Citroen C6 Tuning?
Just had a test drive on C5 II V6 (2005 year model), and I was surprised how much slower it felt compared to my C5 X7 HDi240. I haven´t had any issues with this 3.0HDi, so I think you shouldn´t be afraid of it. I´ve driven this car from 130000km to 260000km in six years. Just normal service and alternator change.

Re: Citroen C6 Tuning?
I do love the diesel engines, but I prefer the petrol because I drive mainly in the city. The Petrol one doesn't have FAP and EGR systems to worry about.Xantippa wrote: 16 Jan 2023, 18:21 Just had a test drive on C5 II V6 (2005 year model), and I was surprised how much slower it felt compared to my C5 X7 HDi240. Re: Citroen C6 Tuning?
I understand, short journeys are bad for modern diesel-engines. You could always do a little joyride now and then, I don´t think it would be pain in the ass with C6?

Re: Citroen C6 Tuning?
Of course not! But I would rather prefer petrol for the C6. It suits the car much betterXantippa wrote: 25 Jan 2023, 18:47 I understand, short journeys are bad for modern diesel-engines. You could always do a little joyride now and then, I don´t think it would be pain in the ass with C6?

Re: Citroen C6 Tuning?
The main trouble with the petrol C6, at least here in the UK, is finding one! Very rare car and when they do come up for sale, there always a hefty premium on the price, often double a similar 2.7 HDi.
Sure its a lovely smooth engine, but they lack the low down grunt of the diesel. I haven't driven a petrol C6, but I've driven the 2.2, 2.7 and 3.0 diesels. I'd expect the V6 petrol to need working quite hard, which in a big auto saloon, is probably at odds with its character.
You can remap the diesels with good performance and economy results.
If you're set on a petrol, then nothing will change you're mind, and I agree that its likely to be an easier car to maintain.
I keep being tempted by the idea of importing a C6 from Japan.... They do come up on the auction sites from time to time. RHD, always petrols, should be as clean as new underneath and are generally tidy. Probably £7k to £9k by you get one here and registered, but they're that for a good one anyway.
