Yes, it was myself that replaced the cat due to spotting that the original had been cut open and welded back up. The welding was atrocious to say the least. I have even witnessed cats failing due to worn valve stem oil seals which permits the burning of oil and in turn affect the performance of the cat. All seems to be running well at the moment.

Hi, did you ever get this issue sorted. I have same kind of problem and it seems to be a software issue with the ECU where in effect its kind of like leaving the choke on too long and is a problem when the engine reaches a certain age/ miles. Peugeot did an update many years ago but trying to find somewhere to get this update but is proving to be very difficult as most Peugeot dealers have updated their equipment and dont have the capability for this anymore.
