Yuasa are saying this>
FootnoteOE has switched from using AGM to EFB during the lifetime of this model. Fit to match current fitment.Note 1OE battery is EFB. Only replace with EFB batteryNote 2Check installation, multiple battery options.

AGM is an upgrade from EFB anyway so yes i would go AGM

Hello,

I currently have an EFB battery 700amps that I need to replace, with a new battery, so you saying during the cycle of the car the battery model for my vehicle has changed and now needs an AGM instead?

Thanks

No, he's saying that during the time that the vehicle was in production the type of battery that was fitted from the factory changed from AGM to EFB. And that the same type of battery should then be used as a replacement.

However, as Wheeler (and everybody else) says an AGM battery is an upgrade. But that a session with diagnostic machine would be needed to set the option correctly in the car.

So to replace the battery now.

Get an EFB, as I don't have diagnostics to upgrade the battery to AGM, and don't have the time to leave the car for a few days for it to settle.

That's part of the process for any new battery. This will take a few days to learn while driving. You don't have to leave the car alone.

If you do change the battery do not be too quick to disconnect it and also to reconnect it since you need to leave time for the bsi to shut down or you could end up with odd electrical problems. There is a bsi reset procedure you can follow in this topic viewtopic.php?f=51&t=61997&p=601679#p601679
