C4 Grand Picasso gearbox fault

This is what I tried after it was suggested by a staff member at a big parts supplier (although they didn't supply them instore).

I might have made things worse, as you mention, but it was worth a shot at the time. The Picasso has done just over 100K miles, but I suppose a new gearbox change for a semi-automatic would be costly and a fiddly job

I’ve just solved all my non selection/wrong selection woes.. there’s an excellent video on YouTube (C4 gear selector repair) or something like that, in which he just removes the selector and re solders the pins inside. Worked for me and cost nothing! Hope this solves a few problems out there.

We had this - eventually all lights on and engine fault with no chance of going anywhere. It took 2 lots of diagnostics to identify it as the actuator which had to be back ordered and cost £2k to repair.
Then... same thing on grand Picasso - can't be a coincidence???? Fortunately this one is under warranty.
It isn't a recall fault but maybe should be?

morning everyone my wife and i have Citroën c4 grand Picasso 2012 manual we have just replaced the clutch and now it wont select gears from what i can tell it is a piloted manual how do i reset it on the snap on computer? the vin number is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] thankyou

we solved the issue it was the concentric slave it had exploded and took the center out of the clutch plate we had to get a new clutch kit luckily it was covered under warranty
now we have had to charge the starter motor due the old one giving up and was a no crank no start put in the new starter motor and still no crank no start and the a warning showing on the dash of failure to the connection when turning the key in the ignition any ideas on what to do to get our car to work thanks everyone

I had similar issue. I changed 12v battery. All problems went away forever.

My car would jump to neutral and dash will still say it's in d2, gearbox fault sign come up put stick into neutral back to drive starts running again till I slow or stop. Rinse and Repeat. Engine fault, gearbox fault this fault and that fault.

I booked into citreaon. A few days before appointment
I saw a youtube video of a European dude who advised to change battery, and took a leap of faith even though battery seemed fine, even though the battery shop tested and said my battery was fine, i insisted. As i drove away everying disapeared and did not jump out of gear. just sharing my experience.
