Re: More Tyre Advice Brands
I get my part worns at £35 Inc fitting and balancing. If Germany want to get rid of perfectly good tyres I'll use them. Imagine only driving 100 miles and now it's winter and you have to change them by law to winter tyres, what a waste. I can see people storing them but not a company of fleet vehicles. So why not fit a pre worn, you know it hasn't blown out. The ones that worried me when fitting them were the tyres that customers bought cheap online, lots of fakes out there.

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Re: More Tyre Advice Brands
I see now, they're required to fit winter tyres in winter, as they are in several other EU countries.
But I suppose they can use winter or all-season tyres all year if they want. Will wear quicker and use a bit more fuel though.
I'm still not sold though, especially as you don't know where they actually come from. I'll stick with my nice new Korean tyres for £65 each fitted, so we're paying about the same anyway if yours have roughly half a tyre-life left in them.

Well they have to have winter tyres and also summer tyres, both different, can't use same set all year round so have to be changed regardless of mileage/usage. I didn't drive my car often as had work vehicle so no point in £100 tyre that would sit there and crack. I drive her often now and would still buy part worns as I know they aren't gunna blow, plus I'm on Michelin's
can't complain at that price
