Those were the 5 selected, to tease out a bit of 1976 Reading Rock festival as well as Cornish Rivers info Mick well done.
The Royal Albert is impressive in its own right but I think the proudly featured simple declaration "I.K. Brunel Engineer 1859" adds to the "iconicness" of the structure.
This literally is the Floral Dance from Helston, I've heard gentler more melodic versions from Brighouse and Rastrick, and Grimethorpe Colliery in "Brassed off", but this is the real thing from Helston Cornwall, only right for Todays County in the Spotlight...
We had a dual chute Express Dairy milk vending machine, you could have milk or chocolate milk shake, outside the Express Dairy itself at the top of Bushey Mill Lane in those days, oops not Cornwall but in my defence they did sell Cornish Ice Cream!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
I've had two proper holidays in Cornwall back in the day. The first picture shows my first holiday destination and the second two pictures could have been taken on the second trip. So where did I go?

Yes, I am paranoid, but am I paranoid ENOUGH?
Out amongst the stars, looking for a world of my own!
I've been all over the world but never been to Cornwall, Scotland or Ireland, think I might have to make the effort.
I've been to North Devon, it rained the whole week, likewise North Wales.

I can thoroughly recommend a trip to all three as well worth the effort. Weather very iffy in Scotland but when it's good its very very good and when it's poor it's bearable. Ireland is equally beautiful and has the added bonus of the ferry trip if you take the car. Cornwall is exceptionally beautiful in parts and rough and ready in parts but I'd avoid the school holidays as traffic can be a nightmare then. My favourite places are Rock, see above , Tintagel, Helston and Polperro but there are many more equally worthy of a visit. Hopefully the intended South Coast Saunter will see me there again in early July before the schools break up!
