I was hoping to find a quick, easy and cheap fix I could do myself 😂 never works that way for me! Hill assist seems temperamental as well, wonder if they are linked somehow?
I'll get an auto electrician have a go at it.
Thanks for your help 👍🏼

Hill start assist is controlled by the ESP system, so won't be affected by a parking assistance fault. That usually means there's an issue with a wheel speed sensor or other part of the ESP system if you are getting that warning - and also if there is a wheel speed sensor issue, I would expect other ESP warnings and disabling of things like the cruise control if fitted.

I still say you need to get it properly diagnosed, preferably with Diagbox to ensure any and all fault codes are picked up.

Parking Help Unavailable Dash Message Fault

Unread post by Sebbo »

Hi, I've the same message on a Citroen relay 2017 plate which does have parking sensors but I'm not sure if they're factory fit or aftermarket (my van is a camper conversion I've just bought). My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Can someone please confirm whether the sensors are factory fit one?

Also, I've tried to reset the BSI which hasn't done anything as far as I can tell but how do you even know if you've actually completed the reset?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue with my Boxer. I had a length of lumber protruding from the cab and I was reversing. The alarm went wooly! Anyway, I went forward only and the "Parking Help Unavailable" and orange warning (!) was illuminated. It stayed on for about 6 miles - I was concerned. I stopped and restarted and the same message/warning light came on.

SOLUTION: I put the vehicle in reverse and then forward again - problem solved. I hope this makes sense.
