Just an update and you can all have a laugh at my expense!
It turns out the 1130 was the correct length but I had the routing wrong.
Moral of the story:- take a photo before you remove it if you are going to be leaving the car stripped down for any length of time.
I have a video describing the routing in detail if anyone would like me to upload a link to it for future reference. The BoL does not show the routing of a non-AC XUD9TF engine.

Good to hear, I couldn't see it being the wrong size considering the thousands of vehicles out there with this sized belt on
If you have a YouTube account, you can upload your video there and provide a link here if it's easier.

I did wonder about that.Rhothgar wrote: 09 Nov 2021, 11:17 It turns out the 1130 was the correct length but I had the routing wrong,
Some of the "serpentine" belt routes are a bit contorted. On our BX (with A/C) someone has helpfully drawn a route-map on the inner wing, behind the arch liner, which you see when replacing the belt.
Have noticed that Gates often include a picture of their belt path on some of the sites they sell through. Several of these on Mister Auto.
Glad it's all sorted.
