dpf full - a new one & I fed up now and I've not even got going

if I decide on mapping out the dpf and associated bits, I want to put in a none fap pipe, but retain a cat, like this

Can't really help you there Nik as said - it's not legally allowed on public roads - and you will void your insurance because the car no longer complies with the certification it was approved for if the emissions equipment is missing.

At this point I can only suggest you get it road legal with DPF and CAT and get the engine ECU software restored and hope that's it, or write if off.
