Undersealing was my bonus job when I worked for the Rootes dealership, they paid me thirty bob each to stay after hours and underseal the new Humbers Hillmans and Sunbeam Talbots.
The underseal liquid black, came in 10 gallon pressure containers and blasted on by compressed air.

I often wonder how many of those cars survive now, it was damned good stuff.
