From personal experience having to had to replace 1 front strut return pipe they tend to leak from the seal around the strut ( yes asked lots of questions here ) but if the above post is possible it could happen from a weak clip or seal particularly as you say the LHM was under the n/s front wheel.
Can you see any leakage from the pipe join to the seal (clamp)

Leaks from the 'clamp-on' rubber return pipe on a front strut are not uncommon, with age.
Unless the square flange on the pipe (which presses against a hole in the back of the strut) has been wrongly positioned, they don't usually leak from there.
Common leak is further up - where the rubber pipe doubles over to attach to the steel pipe back to the reservoir.
Dry it all off, and then look for the problem after it has leaked again.

The rubber hoses (which come with new clips) are still available from Citroen.
Same ones on Xantia as XM - Hydraulic Leak Back Hose

Thank you Colin, all helpful thoughs are very much appreciated......well one thing will not be happing again....my bad parking habbit.
I did not know this...your knowlege before now,very 'out the box thinking' but well worth looking into...I guess my parking is sending all fluids/oils off balance.
