Hi I'm a new member and I have a c4 grand picasso 2.0 BlueHdi year 2014 and I had so many issues with this car that drives me mad and the latest one is I have had the fuel sending unit and the fuel hoses replaced at very costly price and since this work has been done the fuel digital gauge on dashboard shows empty tank and warning light low fuel constantly on I took it back to the mechanic that has done the work and lef the car there to be investigated and the conclusion it's not clear but he said that everything it was done by the manufacturer's recommendations and is nothing can be done !!
I am wondering if any one had same issue and if got resolved?
I appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance.

This can usually happen if the fuel tank sender is replaced. Possible reasons are that the vehicle needs Diagbox to calibrate and check the fuel sender, or the sender unit is not the correct part.

Diagbox has live data that can check the tank level. If there are no readings (no segments lighting up on the fuel display on the dashboard) then it can be any of the following:
  • Configuration of the BSI
  • Built-in systems interface
  • Instrument panel
  • Connectors
  • Electrical harness
  • Tank unit module
The sender can be checked. The impedance of the gauge varies with the level of fuel in the tank. The fuel sender is connected directly to the BSI.

- Tank full = 50 ohms (approximately)
- Tank empty = 350 ohms (approximately)

The fuel level is measured by the BSI
