What do you think is causing the - U1213 - Fault in communication between in electric power steering (DAE) ECU and the ABS/ ESP ECU (Permanent Fault)
Is it something I need to look into?

Those systems are interlinked. So an issue with one system may be affecting the other, in this case the ABS ECU which needs the software update. Deal with that first via the update and it may well sort the other fault

Thanks, released the brakes as per your instructions. For some reason when I took the connectors off both side they both had a lot of liquid/water inside of them, and one of the connections in both was all green.
