C5 X7 2.0HDI P1490 (FAP overloaded) - SOLVED!

Fortunately everything is fine.
Maybe I'm not getting the full distance between regenerations like with new FAP, but still the average is around ~600km (last 10) .
The most important is that there are no errors, and it runs smoothly for just 6 minutes every time.

PP: There was just 1 regeneration, that took around 20 minutes. Maybe it ran for so long because of the city traffic and the low speed, who knows. But there were no errors.

Hi, where do you find the status of FAP in Lexia?

My 2011. DS5 2.0HDI 160hp started to trigger quite often codes P0471 and P1490 related to FAP filter.

Not sure if cleaning is a must or just a sensor (related to P0471) is triggering both codes?

My service shop said only cleaning of FAP would solve this issue. It is not about the cost (120eur) but the question is how efficient are those cleanings (not sure if it is decarbonisation method, or there are several ways to do this).

Cleaning is never going to be 100% as good as a new filter as there are microscopic particles in the honeycomb that will not be removed. It can prolong the life of the filter though.
