Ok, no problems, pleased this was a simple fix. Just give it a clean with some electrical contact cleaner (don't use WD40 as it can react with the plastics) and check where the water is coming from and you should be ok.

Hello,
I have another problem with the C4 Picasso 2006 1.6 HDI MCP. VIN in the previous post. While driving with a caravan, a gearbox faulty popped out and then the whole Christmas tree. The car sticks to the manual itself and then turns off the engine. After turning the key several times, car starts without any errors. I unhooked the trailer and without it it also appears at random moments while driving. Diagbox shows errors as in the photos. I suspect there is a problem with the ESP. Where to start ?

You've crankshaft and camshaft position sensor faults, most likely a fault with crank sensor. I suspect the others are fall out from the engine ECU losing the plot!

Thanks for help.
Ok, so after checking the error log in the diagbox it confirms that the crankshaft sensor is causing the error chain.

I took the wheel off and got access to the plug. After unfastening the plug, I noticed that one of the sides of the socket was broken. I sprayed everything with a contact cleaner and put it together.

I came back 140 km from my vacation without any errors. After returning, I connected the diagbox to clear the errors. The ones in the photo do not want to be clear. What can cause them? F00 in BSI has been around for as long as I remember. I have already ordered a new sensor.

Update. After replacing the sensor, the faults on ESP and GEP disappeared. Thanks for help.

It may of takes a little while for the ECU to adjust to the new data from the new sensors in order to clear the faults, which you've now done.

Hello Richard, I’m hoping you can help, you mention and egr fault? What codes were you getting? Was it your egr valve that was at fault?

Hi, Welcome along.

Can't remember exact faults, but they were EGR related (out of position or jammed, something like that) - initially didn't get the engine light, later it came on occasionally. Changing the EGR fixed it.

Hello, maybe I can also post about my experience with this error. Recently got engine control and ABS/ESP light on. Started checking error codes for engine and EGR was listed (stuck open). Removed the EGR opened it and noticed a broken actuator inside. For the ESP only U1208 and C1391 are listed. Maybe they are all related to the EGR- will let you know once I replace it and go for a proper test drive!

Hello, I have now assembled the new EGR and cleared the fault codes. It looks everything is working good now.
I had to use the car with the broken EGR and find a bad approach to have ABS/ESP disabled after a while. At the end due to environmental system Citroen decided to disable a safety system!
I ended up buying a NTY EGR and added some high temp grease in the bearing and shaft. At the end the carbon deposits make the shaft getting stuck which forces the valve leading to failure. Let’s see how long it lasts. Next job on the list is to change the DPF, got a cheap one and is giving me a bad time to get it fitted. Cheers

Hello guys, just a quick update about this. A few months later the ESP/ASR light came up again. It comes on only sporadically and after a few minutes of driving. Decided to remove the EGR valve on o see if it was broken like the last one. Valve was ok but with some carbon. Gave it a clean but after a few weeks problem still appears. Luckily after ignition cycle the error disappears except when sometimes the CEL also comes on. Only error code is EGR related, I think the valve is getting stuck. Need to look for a software tool to reflash ECU and remove EGR.
