As Marc makes clear, a lot of complicated technology is in place to make the OEM camera work on C5. Mine had this kit as standard, but the OEM camera is an old design from when this model was first conceived, and I was unhappy with the image quality, especially in low light. I replaced it with a Chinese eBay reversing camera and fitted the OEM camera plug to it, so it connected directly to the C5 loom using information available at the top of this thread. Because it was an aftermarket camera, the on-screen reversing guide was no longer accurate but I soon got used to it.

Just for reference too, for the early Tourers with the reversing cameras, it was a known issue with poor visibility / picture quality, so they replaced the unit with an upgraded one shortly after. I don't have the date of the changeover unfortunately.
