Only unit below screen is dead.
No radio, no CD, no SatNav and no parking sensors. Rest of stuff works fine (air con i.e.).
Display was removed and checked inside, no rust or wet but we experienced a few weeks of African heat in UK so maybe that’s the reason.
I’ve bought my car 6yrs ago and since the very first yrs my head unit switch off itself almost every day for few seconds( once per day ). Electricians told me is unfortunately regular for 407, that’s my story. I love my 407, never failed never let me down, absolutely perfect car until now. Already bought another screen on eBay but also didn’t work so sent it back and put it back my one (advise me guy from main dealer workshop). Now you know everything guys so plizz help.

Ok, that answers some questions.

It's nothing to do with the 407 itself. It is the actual MyWay RNEG Head Unit.

They are well-known to fail due to a faulty EEPROM chip. There was a firmware upgrade to help prevent the resetting all the time - but even after this, some units failed. If you are sure there is power to the unit, then the chip has probably gone and will either need repairing or a replacement head unit.

I'll be speaking to the Clarion Service Cetre tomorrow when the relevant person is back to see if they repair these units and I'll let you know the outcome. In the meantime, here is the circuit diagram.

8480 is the Head Unit
7215 is the Display Screen

Check to make sure the 10V cable and that all the connectors are tight. (never disconnect the screen cables before removing the Quad Lock connector first).

Also make sure you have power to B8480 (red cable shown - as that is the power from the BSI.)
