Well like I said Vlad, the wiring for the halogen and the xenons are completely different for a start. The high beam on the xenons requires the electronics to move the shutter up and down to allow full or dipped beam. The directional headlight motors also need the correct power supply, so I don’t know what to suggest except putting his old headlamps back on and selling the others.
The Halogens units have multiple bulb units and the xenons have only the discharge bulb and the side lights (excluding the angular lighting of course).
C5 x7 Changing/upgrading basic headlights with xenon headlights - posibile?

Thank you, Marc. I will suggest him this, the only blocking point is that after the accident his headlamps has been damaged completely.

He could re-sell the xenon units on ebay and then purchase some cheaper standard halogens that should be a direct replacement. Better this I think than having lighting issues as over here it won't pass the annual inspection otherwise with non functioning lights.
I think it's better to get the originals headlamps back on rather than him trying to fit a square peg in a round hole Vlad

C5 X7 original xenon´s high beam isn´t that good, so I would stick to halogens. Low beam is good and beam that turns with steering wheel is nice on bendy roads, but I it´s only useful in low speeds.

My main beams are fantastic - but then I have uprated D1S bulbs!
